Snowbird Adventures is based in the easily accessible hill resort of Manali. There are three options to reach Manali from Delhi which is an ideal starting point for visitors coming to Himachal Pradesh.

By Air:
Jagson Airways and Deccan Airlines both offer daily flights from Delhi to Bhuntar airport 10 Kms from Kullu and 50 Kms from Manali. Contact theses airlines for up to date flight schedules.

By Rail:
Pathankot is accessible by train from almost all major north Indian cities and is 325 Kms from Manali.
Chandigarh is accessible by a daily Shatabdi Express Train a three hour journey. Manali is 320 Kms from Chandigarh.
Shimla is also connected by a narrow gauge train from Kalka 26 Kms from Chandigarh. From Shimla Manali is 260 Kms by road.

By Road:
From Delhi you take the G T Road to Chandigarh and then National Highway 21 to Manali.
  Two routes start from Delhi:

  Option1: 570 Kms

Delhi - Ambala - Chandigarh - Ropar - Kiratpur - Bilaspur - Mandi - Kullu - Manali

From Delhi take National Highway No: 1 to Chandigarh- 250 Kms. From here take National Highway 21 to Manali via Ropar (Rupnagar), Kiratpur and Swarghat.

  Option 2: 560m Kms

Delhi - Shahabad - Shaha - Shahazadpur - Ramgarh - Panchkula - Nalagarh - Swarghat - Bilaspur - Sundernagar - Mandi - Kullu - Manali

From Delhi take the G T Road (National Highway No:1) and on reaching Shahabad 20 Kms before Ambala turn right and drive 18 Kms to Shaha. From here the road goes via Shaha, Shahazadpur, Ramgarh and Panchkula. From Pinjore get on to the state road and drive 65 Kms to Swarghat via Baddi and Nalagarh.

Swarghat is the point where the National Highway No: 22 also joins coming in from Chandigarh. From Swarghat continue on N H 21 to Bilaspur, Sundernagar, Mandi and Kullu till you arrive at Kullu from where Manali is only 40 Kms.

NOTE: Snowbird Adventures strongly recommends Option 1 via Chandigarh as the second option goes through a less travelled and poorly maintained road and is better travelled on a jeep.

From Pathankot the 325 Km drive on National Highway 20 is a very scenic one traversing the lush green Kangra Valley with its green fields and tea gardens. On reaching Mandi you join National Highway 21 and continue to Manali via Kullu.
